The Greencastle Area Arts Council is presenting the work of Enid Romanek at the Lilian S. Besore Memorial Library during March.

Romanek was a resident of the Washington D.C. area for many years, where she enjoyed a prosperous career as an artist.

Her style is realist, yet whimsical, pen and ink drawings with watercolor colorization. This private collection consists mostly of landmarks from Washington D.C. with cherry blossoms in bloom.

Some are personalized for her family or friends, either including them into the illustration or dedicating words of wisdom to her subject or audience.

Her recent move to Sarasota, Fla. has inspired her newest endeavor — pet portraits.
