Chambersburg man dies two days after Greene Township crash

An 82-year-old Chambersburg man died Friday, May 6, of injuries suffered two days earlier when his car collided with a dump truck on Black Gap Road in Greene Township.

Joseph Wible of Beacon Court was pronounced dead at WellSpan York Hospital at 7:38 p.m. Friday, according to the York County Coroner Pamela L. Gay.

Police news

Wible was flown to the York hospital after the crash at 3:44 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, in the area of Mount Cydonia Sand Plant at 243 Black Gap Road.

Pennsylvania State Police said Wible’s northbound Chevy Cruz and a southbound 2021 International Harvester driven by William J. Riordan, 69, of Carlisle collided. Riordan was not injured.
