Customers remain priority as Premier HVAC continues the legacy of Bowie’s Climate Control

Dave Bowie and Tim Stenger are heating and cooling specialists, but “customers” is the first word both say when talking business.

That’s why when Bowie decided to retire from his Waynesboro-based Bowie’s Climate Control/72DEGREES, he turned to Stenger, president of Premier HVAC Services in Greencastle.

“The term ‘good fit’ is as simple as it can get,” Bowie said about handing the reins to Stenger.

Similar business models will make the transition as seamless as possible and customers will still have “local community representation,” Stenger said.

What’s the background on Bowie’s Climate Control?

Dave Bowie, right, is retiring and selected Tim Stenger and his Premier HVAC Services to continue the work of Bowie’s Climate Control/72DEGREES.

Bowie started his business in 1987, specializing in commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration.

Commercial businesses started asking for more services farther away and the “windshield time” was burning technicians out, so Bowie made “the best move” and switched to residential work within 30 miles of his headquarters in Waynesboro in 1996.

“I always tried to live by ‘take care of the customer first,’” Bowie said. “You have to make them feel comfortable.”

Simple things like wearing shoe covers, being polite and returning phone calls “add up to the customer experience we strive for,” said Bowie.

“If you do that, everything else falls into place,” Stenger said.

Why did Dave Bowie pick Premier?

In a late April letter to customers, Bowie wrote, “In my search for the perfect successor, I was fortunate enough to connect with Tim Stenger, the owner of Premier HVAC services. It quickly became evident to me that Premier shares the same core values, commitment to excellence and customer-first approach that Bowie’s Climate Control has always embodied. I am confident that this transition will not only maintain, but elevate the level of service you have come to expect.”

Bowie, whose retirement plans include relaxing, home projects and travel, highlighted a few key strengths of Premier HVAC, including:

  • A large team of highly qualified technicians
  • Rapid response times and same-day service options
  • A price match guarantee
  • Over 500 Five Star reviews from satisfied customers
