Nominations sought for new Greencastle-Antrim Athletic Hall of Fame

The newly formed Greencastle-Antrim Athletic Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for its first class.

The Class of 2024 will be introduced at halftime of the home football game on Friday, Sept. 27, and a recognition dinner will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28.

The nine-member committee will accept nominations until May 15. Nomination forms are available on the Greencastle-Antrim School District website.

Who’s eligible and what’s the process?

Nominations will be accepted for athletes, teams, coaches, administrators and contributors/honorary.

Athletes and teams are eligible 10 years after their class’ graduation. Coaches and administrators are eligible five years after leaving Greencastle-Antrim School District employment.

Once nominations are complete, the committee will invite all nominees to apply for membership. The deadline for this portion of the process is July 1.

The committee will review applications and select members for admittance into the Hall of Fame. 

Normally, a class will consist of a maximum of five members and no more than one contributor/honorary.

However, for the first class, the number of members will be determined by the committee.
